C. Hodges was born as the youngest child of 3 siblings in 1975, in Beijing, China. During his high school years, he visited the National Museum of China with his family and was fascinated by the beauty of art, especially the many oil paintings that he stumbled upon that day. He was inspired to draw and paint since then, later studying Fine Arts at Art Academy. Hodges became an art teacher at Gillimsung School in 2003. Hodges mastered the natural beauty of landscapes and seascapes through a unique acrylic and oil painting technique. His paintings combine strong but soft textural effects utilizing small brush strokes.

C. Hodges has staged several private and public exhibitions in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and many other Asian countries. His artwork has been introduced into the U.S. market through the Art Expo International in 2021.
