Yooshin Kim was born into a family of artists. Father, brother, uncle and cousins all share the same passion for creating art (father, uncle and cousins are painters, his brother is an animation artist and his younger brother is an exhibition manager.) As a toddler, Yooshin recalls sitting on his father’s lap watching him paint. From early, he began to develop his artistic senses. Much of his painting knowledge was passed on to him from his father. Yooshin primarily uses a single palette knife to paint. With one palette knife, he creates a myriad of unique painting strokes. He especially enjoys mixing and blending colors directly on the painting. Bright and vibrant colors are often associated with his works.
